Parliament Speaker, Kadri Veseli, held Tuesday separate meetings with the US Ambassador to Pristina, Philip Kosnett, Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
The Speaker Veseli asked to comment the meetings after a visit to Gjilan said that nothing can stand between Kosovo and the United States. “Kosovo has pro-Western orientation. Nothing can stand between Kosovo and the United States,” Veseli said addressing an apparent disagreement between Kosovo and the US after Washington is asking authorities in Pristina to suspend tax on Serbian and Bosnia-Herzegovina goods and resume the dialogue with Serbia. Veseli said that Kosovo wants peace with its neighbour – Serbia, adding that “Kosovo would be eternally independent and sovereign state.”
