Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said Thursday that Kosovo will not revoke its decision on imposing 100 percent tariffs for all goods entering from Serbia until Belgrade officially recognises Kosovo’s independence. He made the comments before businesspeople at the opening of the First Convention of Kosovo’s Domestic Producers.
Haradinaj in his speech before Kosovo domestic producers reiterated that Kosovo Government is not intending to rescind the 100 tariffs on all goods entering from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. He said the decision will not be revoked until Serbia fully recognises Kosovo and until reaching a final comprehensive agreement between the two countries. “This is a decision of Kosovo, because we are a sovereign state, this decision has been taken by Kosovo because we were left no other choice,” Haradinaj said. He said that introduction of the customs tariffs with Serbia is only one part of the final deal for Kosovo-Serbia mutual recognition.
